The short answer
Look for job cards that follow each car through the workshop, quotes the customer can approve in writing, invoices built from the job card, parts and stock, logins for each role, and a list of customers who are due back. It should run in a browser on a phone or tablet, and let you export your own data.

Check-in, diagnosis, pricing, the customer's OK, parts, work, done, invoice. You should see at a glance where every car is and whose turn it is.

Approval in writing
The customer approves the quote line by line, and it is stored on the job. It ends arguments at the counter.

Invoices from the job card
No retyping. Parts and labour carry straight onto a printable invoice with your garage's name.

Parts and stock
Pick parts from a list instead of typing them, and see what is on the shelf.

Roles and logins
Ground team, mechanics, accounts and the stock keeper each see their part. You see everything.

Who is due back
A list of customers due for a service, licence or insurance renewal. Repeat work is the cheapest work to win.

Runs on a phone
Mechanics won't walk to an office computer. If it doesn't work well on a phone in the workshop, it won't get used.
